Imagine living on the Carlton river edge and enjoying the most peaceful and serene view; lucky for Emily, she doesn’t have to imagine it; she lives there! Lucky duck! 

We reached out to Emily because we wanted to know the inspiration behind her beautiful and serene build and why she chose Scandiluxe products for her bathroom. 

WHAT WAS THE  INSPIRATION BEHIND YOUR BUILD?

Emily - My inspiration was my neighbourhood. My area is full of beautiful old shacks and cottages with incredible gardens. Everything seems to blend into the landscape as it has always been there. With ours being a new build, I knew it was going to be more modern than these relics, which made it even more critical to inject as much character and personality throughout as possible.

WHY IS USING TIMBER THROUGHOUT YOUR HOME SO IMPORTANT TO YOU?

Emily - Using timber was so important! Our home and view aspect is South facing, so we knew we needed the interior to feel warm and cosy all day. Timber is also timeless. Regardless of trends, timber is a constant. It provides a base for everything else to evolve around.

WHAT MADE YOU CHOOSE SCANDILUXE TIMBER FIXTURES FOR YOUR BATHROOM OVER OTHER BRANDS?

Emily - We chose Scandiluxe timber because it ticked ALL our boxes. Walnut timber fixtures were more challenging to find while we were building, and I couldn't believe it when I found Scandiluxe.
